A joint proclamation by House Speaker Matthew J. Shepherd of El Dorado and Senate President Pro Tempore Jimmy Hickey states:

“We, the undersigned speaker of the House and president pro tempore of the Senate, by authority as the elected presiding officers of the Arkansas House of Representatives and Senate, respectively, declare the Arkansas General Assembly in recess until Wednesday, February 17, 2021, or until such time as the winter storm threat lessens to allow safe travel to the State Capitol.”

The proclamation was released Saturday afternoon.
