A Pine Bluff man was arrested in a deadly shooting that occurred near Whiteville Road, southwest of Pine Bluff between U.S. 79 and Old Warren Road.
The shooting occured on Wednesday afternoon.
The victim was identified as Tony Jones, 51.
No hometown was listed for Jones.
Zackary Vermillion, 29, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder, according to the Jefferson County sheriff’s office.
Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the scene at 1:11 p.m.
However, other details of the shooting have not been released.
