MLK Annual National Day of Service
LONOKE — The George Washington Carver High School Alumni Association and AmeriCorps members will participate in the Martin Luther King Jr. National Day of Service on Monday by giving back to the community through acts of service. A Community Unity Caravan will start at 1 p.m. from the Lonoke High School parking lot and end there with a short presentation honoring King. This is a drive-in event, with everyone asked to stay in their vehicles. Residents are asked to perform an act of service in the city of Lonoke to honor King’s life of service and/or join the Unity Caravan. Chocolate-Covered Strawberries Sale
BATESVILLE — The White River Health System Foundation is partnering with Café V for a Valentine’s Day Chocolate-Covered Strawberries Sale. Proceeds from the sale will support 3-D mammography at WRHS. There are two convenient pickup options: Drive through at White River Medical Center, or pick up orders at Café V inside the hospital.
