A Centerton man was struck and killed when he tried to cross Interstate 49 in Springdale on Sunday, according to an Arkansas State Police report.

David Brandly, 26, was struck by three vehicles -- a 2015 Ford Fusion, a 2016 Lexus NX200 and a 2011 Mazda CX7 -- as he crossed the highway near mile marker 72 at approximately 6:27 p.m., the report said.

Conditions were clear and dry at the time, the report said.

The Arkansas State Police also reported the death of a Fort Smith man in a motorcycle crash early Saturday morning.

John Newby, 52, was riding a 2007 Harley-Davidson on Country Club Road in Fort Smith at approximately 6:18 a.m. when he lost control of the bike and was ejected, the report said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Conditions at the time of the crash were clear and dry, according to the report.
