‘School Girls’ stream
Fayetteville-based theater company TheatreSquared is streaming, on demand, its production of “School Girls; Or, The African Mean Girls Play” by Jocelyn Bioh through Feb. 14.
Makha Mthembu plays Paulina Sarpong, the reigning “queen bee” at Ghana’s most exclusive boarding school, who has her sights set on the Miss Global Universe pageant until Ericka Boafo (Amira Danan), a new student with undeniable talent and beauty, captures the attention of the pageant recruiter — and Paulina’s hive-minded friends. The cast also includes Na’Tosha De’Von, LaKecia Harris, Michelle Bester, Maya Vinice Prentiss, Shariba Rivers and Jasmine Rush.

Watercolor workshop
The South Arkansas Arts Center is offering a four-part Zoom watercolor workshop, titled “Wet on Wet Painting,” with artist Maria Botti Villegas, 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesdays starting Feb. 2. Jonesboro auditions
Jonesboro’s Foundation of Arts will hold auditions, 5:30 p.m. Feb. 5 and 10 a.m. Feb. 6, for Disney’s “The Lion King Jr.” and 5:30 p.m. Feb. 19 and 10 a.m. Feb. 20 for Disney’s “The Little Mermaid,” at either the Forum Theatre, 115 E. The foundation will hold an audition boot camp for both shows for a limited number of youngsters 7 and older, 10 a.m.-noon Jan. 30. Film deadline
Feb. 19 is the early-bird deadline to submit entries in the categories of documentary features, documentary shorts and episodic series to the Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival, marking its 30th year, Oct. 8-16. The festival has several awards categories and is a designated Academy Award-qualifying festival in Documentary Short Subject.
