Three people were killed in traffic crashes in Arkansas on Monday, according to reports from the Arkansas State Police.
Two people died in a two-car crash at approximately 6:03 p.m. on Arkansas 154 in Danville, according to one report. Kayla Morris, 35, and an unidentified minor were in a 2015 Toyota when Morris crossed the center line of the highway, travelled across to the north shoulder before over-correcting and moving back into the westbound lane, where her car hit the front of a 2003 Dodge, the report said.
Morris and the child were killed in the crash, and four people in the Dodge -- Reid Bethel, 56; Jessica Bethel, 46; Jade Bethel, 18; and Ethan Robles, 18; all of Danville -- were injured, according to the report.
At approximately 9:05 p.m., a 35-year-old Gillham woman was killed in a one-vehicle crash on Bellah Mine Road in Gillham, a state police report said.
Kristian Buchanan was a passenger in a Toyota Tacoma that the unidentified driver lost control of and struck an embankment. Buchanan was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene, the report said.
