LAST HOURS OF MARS IN ARIES
These are the last hours of Mars in Aries, the sign of “me” — or more to the point, the sign associated with the phrase “I am.” It’s important to note the differences between self-care, self-involvement and self-obsession. To focus too much on oneself can actually be very stressful, though the stress is easily relieved by simply focusing on others.

To illustrate the point, Neptune is attributed as a feminine planetary energy. And yet, if the planetary characteristics of Neptune were to be embodied in a character of a live-action movie, the planet associated with the god of the sea would more typically be played by a Jason Momoa type than an Esther Williams type. In fact, that movie would likely star only one woman, in the role of Venus, the love goddess.
And this is why, in the name of equality and balance, I have recently sought cosmic influence from the asteroid belt, roughly between the planet Mars and Jupiter, specifically in the asteroids named for nine goddesses of the Greek pantheon, collectively referred to as the muses. They are:
- Calliope: muse of stories*
- Clio: muse of history
- Euterpe: muse of music
- Erato: muse of poetry
- Melpomene: muse of the theater
- Polyhymnia: muse of nature
- Terpsichore: muse of dance
- Thalia: muse of comedy
- Urania: muse of mystics
The wisdom that comes to us from the realm of muses is sure to bring some diversity to this cosmic soiree.
*I have simplified the jurisdiction of certain muses to better fit the contemporary milieu.
