Shots hurt person in southwest LR

Little Rock police are investigating a Wednesday evening shooting that left one person wounded, according to spokesman Mark Edwards.

Officers were sent to 7500 Geyer Springs Road a few blocks north of Interstate 30 just before 6 p.m. where the incident occurred, Edwards said.

He said late Wednesday that the department will release more information when it becomes available.

Report: Man jailed after pointing gun

A North Little Rock man was arrested on five charges of aggravated assault after pointing a firearm at a man and his family Tuesday afternoon, according to a report.

Officers were sent to 803 W. Scenic Drive at 3:30 p.m. where the incident occurred and the victim gave a description of the man and vehicle, the report said.

Police found a firearm in the suspect's vehicle and nearby found Marquis Wright, 27, at 2701 MacArthur Drive and took him into custody, according to the report.

Wright was taken to the Pulaski County jail where he was being held without bail and is charged with five counts of felony aggravated assault.

Conway man faces theft, drug counts

Little Rock police arrested a Conway man on drug charges after finding him driving a stolen vehicle Tuesday afternoon, according to a report.

Officers pulled over the vehicle driven by Justin Crawford, 39, and found methamphetamine, marijuana, K2, drug paraphernalia and a stolen credit card, the report said.

Crawford was taken to the Pulaski County jail. He was not on the jail roster Wednesday night. He is charged with two felony counts of theft by receiving; felony possession of methamphetamine; felony possession of marijuana; felony possession of K2; and felony possession of drug paraphernalia.
