2 people killed in crashes on Arkansas roads

An Adona man was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning on Dave Ward Drive in Conway, according to an Arkansas State Police report.

Dennis James Hodge, 34, was driving a 2006 Honda Ridgeline on Dave Ward Drive near Lollie Road at approximately 5:12 a.m. when the vehicle left the roadway and overturned, the report said. Hodge was pronounced dead at the scene.

Conditions at the time of the crash were clear and dry, the report said.

A 41-year-old Urbandale, Iowa, man died Saturday in a motorcycle crash on Arkansas 88 at 11:52 a.m. in Polk County, according to a state police report.

Daniel Mick was riding a Honda VFR 800 eastbound on the highway when he failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway and struck a guardrail, the report said. Mick was taken to Mena Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later, according to the report.

The report said conditions were clear and dry and the time of the crash.
