Four men were injured in a shooting in Hot Springs over the weekend, including one who was later taken into custody, police said Monday.

Officers responding to a shooting call Saturday at about 9:35 p.m. in the 100 block of Lowery Street found a 24-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound, according to a news release from Hot Springs police. A second injured man, 36, was found at 105 Lowery Street. Both men were transported to an area hospital by LifeNet for treatment, according to authorities.

Officers learned a third man, 27, was taken to National Park Medical Center by private vehicle for treatment of gunshot wounds, the release states.

Police said that 31-year-old Patrick James Franklin arrived at CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs a short time later with a gunshot wound in his foot.

Authorities determined Franklin was a suspect in the shooting and took him into custody at the hospital shortly before 11:30 p.m. He was charged with three felony counts of terroristic act and three counts of first-degree battery, the release states.

Franklin was set to appear Monday in Garland County District Court.
