A victim died after a hit-and-run at Young Road and Brenda Circle on Friday night, according to Little Rock police.
Officers responded to the area around 10:30 p.m. and found a person laying in the eastbound lane with serious injuries, police said.
The victim, a female, was transported to a local hospital where she later died and then was taken to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for identification, according to a news release from the Little Rock Police Department.
The release states that officers located a vehicle of interest in a nearby neighborhood with damage consistent with the crash and towed the car for further investigation.
The investigation is still ongoing.
