Police have identified the victim of Saturday night's fatal shooting on South Rodney Parham Road near Kanis Park.

Glean Finley, 23, of Little Rock was found dead in the driver’s seat of a Nissan Altima, police said.

Authorities were dispatched around 7:20 p.m. to 900 S. Rodney Parham Road, at the intersection with the Interstate 630 on-ramp, after a report of the shooting. A passenger in the vehicle was uninjured and gave a statement to detectives, police spokesman Sgt. Eric Barnes said.

According to a news release from the Little Rock Police Department, Finley was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was transported to the state Crime Laboratory for autopsy.

Multiple shell casings were found in the road, Barnes said.

Barnes said the shooting was “definitely a homicide-related offense” and “isolated in nature.” He said detectives will be reviewing statements and surveillance cameras in the area to gather more information.

It is too early in the investigation to have a suspect or identify a motive, Barnes said.

He encouraged anyone with a business in the area or who might have been nearby at the time of the shooting to call authorities at (501) 371-4636.
