Authorities have released the names of two women who died after the car they were in overturned in a Pulaski County creek early Wednesday afternoon.

Hannah Nuehring, 20, and Skidaisha Hines, 21, were in a 2006 Pontiac G6 headed west in the 13700 block of Lawson Road when the crash happened shortly after noon, according to a preliminary report from the Pulaski County sheriff’s office. 

The car struck a tree and rolled over before coming to rest in McHenry Creek, the report states. 

Authorities said Nuehring, who was driving the car, and Hines, who was a passenger, both died as a result of the wreck. No other injuries were listed in the report. 

Conditions were cloudy and wet at the time of the crash, authorities said.

At least 361 people have died as a result of wrecks on Arkansas roads so far this year, preliminary figures from the state Department of Public Safety indicate.
