NINA MAE "NANNY" PEARSON, 83, born March 18, 1927 met the Lord July 31, 2010. She was born in Little Rock, Ark. to Julius and Carrie Nichols. She was a member of the "Pioneers Club", retired from Timex, the Alexander Human Development Center and Bryant Senior Adult Center. She was a member of Alexander First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles R. Pearson Sr.; her parents; and two brothers and two sisters. Nanny is survived by a brother, Leo Nichols of Des Moines, Iowa; four sons and two daughters, Charles R. Pearson Jr. (Mary Ann) of England, Ark., Tommy Pearson (the late Marilyn) of Little Rock, Shirley Skaggs (CW) of Quitman, Ark., Jerry Pearson of East End, Ark., Edward Dean Pearson Sr. of Alexander and Judy Jackson (Greg) of Sardis; 11 grandchildren; 17 great- grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She enjoyed quilting with her friends at the Bryant Senior Center. Nanny's legacy will live in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. Funeral services will 2 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2010 at Roller Drummond Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Mark Ray officiating. Burial will be in Pinecrest Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Monday, Aug. 2, 2010 at the funeral home (455-5800). Memorials may be made to Alexander First Baptist Church.
