Ramona Riddle

Ramona Riddle, 73, of Carlisle passed away at her home on Friday, July 30, 2010. She and her husband owned and operated a dry cleaning business in Carlisle for 40 years. Ramona was also an active gardener, a homemaker, a member of the First Baptist Church in Carlisle and described by her family as a very tenacious woman who always put others first. She will be remembered by her kindness, grace and love of others. Her favorite phrase often recited was "Yeh Boy". She is survived by her husband, Charles O. Riddle; three sons, David Riddle and wife, Tracy of Germantown, Tenn., Daniel Riddle of Little Rock and Mike Riddle and wife, Lisa of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Pamela Sue Graves and husband, Jody of Collierville, Tenn.; two brothers, George Essy and wife, Sherry of Flint, Mich., and Jack Essy of Flint, Mich.; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, August 1, 2010, at the First Baptist Church in Carlisle. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m., Sunday, prior to the service. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Searcy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Cabot or the Carlisle First Baptist Church. Arrangements are by Westbrook Funeral Home of Hazen.
