Kathleen Huckeby Smith Womack

Kathleen Huckeby Smith Womack, 90, of Lonoke went to be with the Lord August 1, 2010. She was born March 19, 1920 in Bradford, Arkansas to Jack and Mary Huckeby as the youngest of six children. She was a member of Lonoke United Methodist Church. She assisted her first husband in rice farming and caring for his elderly mother. In later years, she enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, traveling, and playing the organ. She also enjoyed making clothes for antique dolls and was an accomplished seamstress and musician. She was a kind, gentle person who enjoyed helping others. Preceding in death are her parents; older siblings, Lyda Mae Huckeby, Mason Pennock, Maude Shipp, Albert Huckeby, and Marion Huckeby; and by two husbands, J.H. Smith and Everett Womack. Survivors include nieces and nephews, Gladys Glover, Charline Flynt, Kathleen Davis, Connie Voll, Ida Jean Craig, Mary Huckeby, Kenneth Huckeby, Donald Huckeby, Thomas Huckeby and Johnny Huckeby. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 4 at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. Burial will follow in Lonoke Cemetery. Online guest book, www.boydfuneralhome.net.
