Mary Ethel Helms

Mary Ethel Helms, 76, of Pine Bluff, passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2010, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Helms was born May 5, 1934, in Pine Bluff, to the late James Wallace and Wilhemena Poss Murrow. Mrs. Helms was a court clerk of the Pine Bluff Municipal Court, from which she retired. She was a member of New Beginnings Church. Mrs. Helms is survived by three daughters, Annette Helms Bridges of Pine Bluff, Jane Benetz of La Marque, Texas, and Paula Ludlam of White Hall; 21 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, James O. Helms, two sons, David Wayne Helms and Randall Bruce Helms; two brothers; and a sister. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Luwanna Harvil, and family and friends. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 3, 2010, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, at Robinson's. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, August 4, 2010, 10 a.m., in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Reverend Charles Cantwell officiating.
