Billy Clark Skinner

Billy Clark Skinner, age 79, of North Little Rock died Monday, August 2, 2010. He was born December 17, 1930 in Texarkana, Texas to the late Clark and Nola Lumpkin Skinner and grew up in the home of his aunt and uncle, the late Eva Skinner Long and Eunice Long at McCaskill, Arkansas and graduated from Blevins High School. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ollie Fae Ward Skinner, of North Little Rock; two daughters, Amelia Jane Eldridge and husband, John R. III, of Fayetteville and Shelley Kaye Ussery and husband, Kevin of North Little Rock; two grandchildren, Brandon Gene Ussery and Ashlyn Jane Ussery, of North Little Rock. He was preceded in death by his son, Billy Louis Skinner. At the age of 19 he moved to Pulaski County, Arkansas were he lived out his life. He worked for Chris and Shaver Ready Mix Concrete and in 1963 started Skinner Digger Service, Inc. of North Little Rock. He was a member of Mt. Sinai Masonic Lodge 749, a 33rd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, Scimitar Shrine Temple, and Royal Order of the Jesters. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Berea Baptist Church, 104 East Valentine Road, Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076 or Arkansas Alzheimer's Association, 10411 W. Markham, Ste. 130, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Thursday in the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel, 1921 Main St., 758-1170.
