Helen Marie Tressler

Helen Marie Tressler, 84, of North Little Rock, Ark., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 31, 2010. She was born October 17, 1925 in Dallas Texas to Robert A. Martin and Lida Bell Cherry Martin. She graduated from Baylor School of Nursing in Dallas, Texas and worked as an R.N. for many years. Helen was a member of the First Christian Church in McKinney, Texas. She and her husband, S.D. (Don) Tressler Jr. moved to North Little Rock in 1993 and joined the First United Methodist Church and were members of the Triune Sunday School Class. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Frances Ledger; son, Dr. Gary Chancellor and first husband, H.C. Chancellor, M.D. She is survived by her husband, Don, of North Little Rock, Ark.; daughter, Carol and husband, Dr. Clifford Jenkins of Springdale, Ark.; step-daughter, Elaine and husband, David Bixby of North Little Rock, Ark.; step-son, Sam Tressler III, M.D. and wife, Penny of San Antonio, Texas; step-son, Paul Tressler and wife, Mary Lou of Royse City, Texas; and daughter-in-law, Mary Chancellor of Norman, Okla.; gandchildren are Josh Jenkins, Melody Jenkins, Leslie Jenkins, Evan Chancellor and wife, Hannah; Nikolaus Tressler and wife, Beth; Gretchen Tressler and Mike Louden, and Zachary Tressler; great-grandchildren are Charlotte Tressler, and Cristopher and Conner Chancellor. Visitation will be at 12 noon, Friday, August 6, 2010 followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock (501-791-7400).
