Vanessa Howard Calamese

Vanessa Howard Calamese, 52, of Little Rock went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 28, 2010. She was born on February 23, 1958 to the late Lucille Calamese and Robert Howard. Ms. Calamese graduated from Newport High School and the Arkansas Career Training Institute in Hot Springs. Vanessa was a supervisor of vital records for the Arkansas State Health Department, where she worked for 32 years. She sang alto as a member of the singing group, Garment of Praise. She was a member of Agape Church. She was preceded in death by her aunt-mom, Clara Jean Calamese; aunt, Willie Mae Clark; brother, Jimmie Calamese; sister, Lois Evonne Calamese. She is survived by her sister, Nicole Turner; nieces, Shawnetta Rucker Calamese, Alexandria Calamese; aunt, Alean Calamese; uncle, Jack Calamese. Family hour will be on Friday, August 6, 6-7 p.m. at Robinson Mortuary Chapel. Service will be held at Agape Church, 701 Napa Valley at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 7.
