Brenda Rae Bailey-Hampton
Jacksonville, TX, 1953 - 2010Our beautiful Mom and Mimi, Brenda Rae Bailey-Hampton, 57, of Jacksonville, Texas, died peacefully on Sunday, August 1, 2010 after an eight month battle with breast cancer. Funeral services will be at the First Baptist Church of Bullard on Friday, August 6, 2010 at 10 a.m. Visitation will be in the chapel at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville, on Thursday, August 5, 2010 from 5-8 p.m.
Brenda was born in Palestine on March 26, 1953 and lived most of her life in Texas. She and her immediate family lived in the town of Maumelle, Arkansas from 1982-1986, where they attended the First Baptist Church of Maumelle.
Brenda's motto throughout the last months of her life was Philippians 4:6. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." Her constant request was for everyone who knew her on earth to meet up with her later in Heaven.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Irene Bailey, and her brother-in-law, Carroll Allen.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Angela Grasty-Cox of Bullard, and her husband, Chris; sons, Michael Grasty and Matt Hampton of Tyler; daughter, Ashley Estrada of Chandler, and her husband, Octavio.
Her beautiful grandchildren are Bailey and Brayden Cox, Julian and Aiden Estrada.
Memorials may be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation or Hospice of East Texas.
