FRANCES J. LAWSON, a daughter, a mother, a grandmother, a sister, a friend, went to be with God and her parents, Rev. McKinley and Lillie Lawson on Tuesday, August 3rd. She will be sadly missed by her family; daughters, Machele (JC) Taylor, Shanti (Joe) Hill; grandsons, Josh Rucker, Jahlin and Jordan Hill, JC Taylor III and Brandon Burnett; granddaughter, Janay Taylor; sisters, Minnie Walter, Rev. Erma Armstrong, Pearl Rogers, and Priscilla Lawson; brothers, Robert (Vergie) Lawson, Benny and Clarence Lawson; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and her cherished confidant, Fletcher Graggs Sr. Frances, known as "Frank" to many, grew up in North Little Rock, graduated from S.A. Jones High and received her B.S. Degree from Philander Smith College. She began her career as a social worker with Easter Seal, continued with North Little Rock Handicapped Services and worked for 19 years as a Mental Health Coordinator for UAMS Headstart Services. She received the community Service Award from Professional Counseling Associated in 2002 and many other Awards for her dedicated services and work. Funeral 11 a.m., Saturday, Bethel A.M.E. Church, 600 Cedar Street, North Little Rock. Family hours is from 6-8 p.m., Friday at First Baptist Church, 811 SA Jones Dr., North Little Rock. Interment: Arkansas Memorial Gardens by Watson-Northcrest Funeral Home, 1801 Maple, North Little Rock, 812-5303.
