Tommy W. Self, 62, of Pine Bluff died Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at John L. McClellan Memorial Veteran's Hospital in Little Rock. He was born October 13, 1947 in Dumas, son of Woodrow and Thelda Blocker Self. Mr. Self was reared in Altheimer. He served in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam from 1968-1970. Mr. Self retired as a boilermaker from the local 69. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and devout Razorback fan.
Mr. Self was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jimmy Self. Survivors include two daughters, Candy Self of Scott and Brandi (Greg) Leopard of Rison; sister, Gail (Billy) Wagoner of White Hall; two brothers, Donnie (Linda) Self of Hot Springs and Freddie (Gina) Self of Sheridan; two granddaughters, Jordan and Sydney Leopard; and several loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, August 6, 2010 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Brother John Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Flat Bayou Cemetery with military honors.
