Evelyn Alleen Lewis

Evelyn Alleen Lewis, age 85, of McGehee, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2010. Evelyn was born on July 1, 1925 in Winchester, Arkansas to the late Frank Whitehead and Vallie Lawler. She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church. She was also part of the order of Eastern Star. Evelyn is preceded in death by her loving husband A.C. Lewis and her son Alan Lewis, Jr. She is survived by two children: Bettie Beck and husband Dick Beck of Jacksonville, Arkansas and Nan Vandervort and husband Allen Vandervort of Maumelle, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Alan Lewis of Watson, Arkansas, Arthur Lewis of McGehee, Arkansas, Nicole and Sarah Vandervort both of Maumelle, Arkansas. Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at Tillar Cemetery in Tillar, Arkansas.
