Josephine Grace Turner

Josephine Grace Turner, age 88, born February 4, 1922, passed on to her heavenly home August 4, 2010. One of her proudest moments was receiving her high school diploma at the age of 85. She was a wonderful cook. She enjoyed attending church and having Sunday dinner with her family. She was a life long member of the VFW and ladies auxiliary. Preceding in death are her father, Charles Franklin Tucker and mother, Grace Collins Tucker, brothers, Marshall, McDonald, Bert, Roy, George and BoJo Tucker, a sister, Gwen Tucker, two children, son, Carey "Buddy" Weeks, a daughter, Anna Lee Knight, and a grandson, Bret Grissom. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, a son, Johnny (Joyce) Pledger of Lonoke, daughter, Laverne (Jerry) Grissom of Jasper, Texas; sisters, Era Orty, Betty Wells and Evelyn Vanderfort; 10 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 7 at New Hope Baptist Church with Bro. Fred Dollar officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery.
