William Walt Anderson of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away July 20, 2010. He was born on September 27, 1938, to the late Philip S. and Frances Walt Anderson. A devoted husband and father, he is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jane Anderson; his daughter Carson Lee and son-in-law, Jarrett from Raleigh, N.C.; and his son, Douglas Anderson and fiancée Stephanie Ko from Washington, D.C. He is also survived by his brother, Philip S. Anderson of Little Rock, Ark., his cousins Roberta Crow Price of Jackson, Tenn., Martin Walt and David Walt of Dumas, Ark., and his extended family both in Hawaii and around the world. He attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and received a bachelor's degree in business administration from Memphis State University. After finishing graduate school at Thunderbird Graduate School for International Management in Arizona, he was employed by Hallmark Cards International from 1969 to 2000. With Hallmark, he and his family lived in Manila, Republic of the Philippines, from 1969 to 1980, when they moved to Honolulu so that the children could be educated in the United States. He continued to travel throughout the Asia Pacific region, and made life-long friends in many countries. After retiring from Hallmark International in 2000, he established Anderson International, LLC, a consulting firm for companies conducting business in Asia, which he continued to operate until his death. He was an active member of St. Clement's Episcopal Church in Honolulu and served on the vestry. He was a long-time member of Sunrise Rotary in Honolulu, a member of the Board of Trade West, Inc. in Honolulu, and an active volunteer for YO House, providing outreach opportunities to Hawaii's homeless youth. Bill Anderson was an avid tennis player for most of his life. His smile and laughter will be missed by all those who knew him. His funeral service was on Tuesday July 27, at St. Clement's Episcopal Church.
