Roberta Jean Bethards

On Aug. 7 Roberta Jean Bethards of Benton was called home to be with her Lord and Savior. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of the Benton Seventh-Day Adventist Church, and retired from the Bryant School System. She was preceded in death by her loving husband John W. Bethards. She is survived by two sisters, Jewell White of Dardanelle, and Edith Nash of Benton; four sons, Bob Nash of Baker City, Ore., Keith Nash, of Bland, Ore., Mike Bethards, of Benton and Gene Bethards of Benton; six grandchildren, Lisa, Mary Anne, Jennifer, Lisa, Drew and Lydia; and three great-grandchildren. She lived a life of service to the family, her friends, her church and her Heavenly Father. She will be sorely missed, but her life will be remembered with great joy. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Ashby Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Mars Hill Cemetery in Bauxite. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Ashby's.
