Ruth Garner Blemmel

Ruth Garner Blemmel, born on April 30, 1927 passed at her home in Mena, Ark., on Friday, Aug. 6, 2010. She is preceded in death by her parents Mitchel Beauregard and Etta McGinnis White; her first husband A.O. Garner; two brothers Perry White and Steve White and three sisters Oca Gibbs, Jean McCoy and Cora Myrtle White. Survivors include her husband Earl Blemmel of the home; three daughters Judy Burn and her husband Max of Tulsa, Okla., Derenda Thieke and her husband Roy of Texas and Cindy Turner of Rockwall, Texas; two brothers Mitchel White and his wife Elise of Hamburg, Ark., and Wayne White and his wife Barbara of Maynard, Ark.; four grandchildren Blain Burn and his wife Lisa of Skiatook, Okla., Eric Burn of Konawa, Okla., Kyle Turner of Euless, Texas and Erin Turner of Houston, Texas; three great-grandchildren Sydney, Hallie and Danner Burn of Skiatook, Okla.; many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Aug. 9, 2010 at 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Mena with Rev. Gary Harrison officiating. Interment will follow at 3:30 p.m. in the Rest Hills Cemetery in North Little Rock under the direction of Hall Funeral Service in Mena.
