DANNY LEX EAKER, 58, of Jacksonville, passed away Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010. He was born Aug. 7, 1952, in Pine Bluff, Ark., to Lex and Laverne Eaker. He was a pharmacist and owner of Baker Drug in North Little Rock, and a deacon at Highway Baptist Church in Sherwood, Ark. Danny enjoyed spending time with his family, deer hunting, working with his cows, and serving the Lord on a daily basis. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sula Jane Eaker; his mother, Laverne Eaker, and sister Elizabeth "Little Bea" Eaker of Whitehall; one son, Jeremy Eaker and wife Amanda of Jacksonville; two daughters, Dawn Peeples and husband Randy, of Jacksonville, and Suzie Kelley and husband Jimmie of Cabot; daughter-in-law, Tracy Burlison of Amarillo, Texas, nine grandchildren, Randy Jr, Callie, Brooke, and Janey Peeples of Jacksonville, Bethany and Alana Baxter, and Blake Carter of Cabot, Jacob and Jessica Kelley of Marion, Holly and Megan Larson of Amarillo, Texas, and a host of extended family. He is preceded in death by his father Rev. Lex H. Eaker, of White Hall, and son Billy Burlison of Amarillo, Texas. Visitation will be held on Monday Aug. 9 from 6-8 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock, (501) 835-3515. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010, at Highway Baptist Church in Sherwood, internment to follow at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Memorial Park.
