Dorothy Louise Boykin

Dorothy Louise Boykin, 88, of Greenville, formerly of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, died Sunday, August 8, 2010, in Hunt Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Boykin was born in Dierks, Arkansas, on May 22, 1922. She was the daughter of Clarence A. Blackwood and Lacy Charlotte Jackson Blackwood. On December 1, 1938, she married Victor A. Boykin in Warren, Arkansas. She retired as a beautician after more than 50 years. Mrs. Boykin was a member of the Red Hat Society in both Greenville and Pine Bluff and a member of the Johnson Street Church of Christ. She is survived by sons, Louis V. Boykin and wife, Donna of Greenville, John D. Boykin and wife, Senta of Ozark, Alabama and David Boykin and wife, Charlotte of Las Vegas, Nevada; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death on October 10, 1996. Funeral services directed by Ralph Robinson & Son will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, August 11, 2010, at Hazel Street Church of Christ with Dr. Mike Hogan officiating.
