Robert "Bobby" Gaines

Robert "Bobby" Gaines of North Little Rock, formerly of New Harmony, Miss., went to be with his Lord on August 9, 2010. He was born in Union County, Miss., to the late Floyce and Christine Gaines on March 9, 1942. He graduated from Ingomar High School in New Albany, Miss. He married Helen Sanders his wife of 47 years in March of 1963. He was a Boiler maker with the Union Pacific R.R., retiring after 28 years of service. In addition to his parents and grandparents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Edwards and a great-grandson, Gabriel Cade. He is survived by: his wife: Helen; daughter: Tammy Webb; son: Darrel "Tiny" Gaines (Elizabeth); grandchildren: Dustin Gaines (Jennifer), Scott Gaines, Angel Webb, Dakota and Dillan Gaines; great-grandchildren, Sara, Ethan, Brianna, Paden, all of NLR; brother, Ricky Gaines (Wanda), sisters, Dianne Sprouse (Jimmy), Pam Canerdy (Charlie) all of New Harmony, Miss.; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Grace Baptist Church, 408 North Walkers Corner Rd., Scott, Ark. 72142 at 6 p.m., Thursday, August 12, 2010 with Pastor Jerry Terrell officiating.
