Ruby Lee Rhodes

Ruby Lee Rhodes, age 75 and a 12 year resident of Rowlett, Texas, passed away August 10, 2010. She was born July 1, 1935 in Scott, Ariz., to Isreal & Cleo (Phillips) Dyer. Ruby had worked in the food service industry at the V.A. Hospital. She was a member of North Garland Baptist Fellowship. Ruby is survived by her sons: Byron Dunn of Little Rock, Ark., and John Rhodes & wife Tamara of Rowlett, Texas; grandchildren: Frederick Hughes of Atlanta, Ga., Desmond Gladney of Garland, Texas, Danielle Rhodes of Rowlett, Texas, John Rhodes III of Rowlett, Texas, Jalen Rhodes of Rowlett, Texas; siblings: Isaiah Dyer & wife Irma of Little Rock, Ark., Delois Dyer Benson of Little Rock, Ark., Levon Dyer & wife Joann of Little Rock, Ark., Betty Dyer Plat of Little Rock, Ark., Edna Dyer Davis & husband Andrew of Jacksonville, Ark., Beatrice Dyer Cummings & husband John of Missouri City, Texas, Glenda Dyer Paxton & husband Fred of Loanoke, Ark., Larry Dyer & wife Victoria of Houston, Texas, and Gregory Dyer & wife Janet of Houston, Texas; aunts and uncles: Fred Dyer Jr., Betty Ruth Hamilton, Iola Payne and Ruth Crutchfield; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister: Helen Dyer; brother: Leon Dyer; and auntie: Mamie Phillips. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Zion Chapel Baptist Church in Scott, Ark. Interment will follow in Heaven's Rest Cemetery in Little Rock, Ark.
