Grady W. "Woody" Harlan

Grady W. "Woody" Harlan, age 74, of Orange Beach, died peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010. Mr. Harlan was born in Clarkedale, Ark., and lived in Orange Beach for the past 13 years. He attended and played football at Marion, Ark., public schools, Little Rock Junior College and Arkansas State University. He retired with 30 years service as the Vice President of Marketing for Cooper Communities. Woody was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Bon Secour. Survivors include his wife, Susan B. Harlan of Orange Beach; mother, Virginia Harlan of Marion, Ark.; children, Wood (Diane) Harlan III of Seligman, Mo., Cissy (Steve) Reynolds of Niceville, Fla., Lisa (Buck) Mears of Orange Beach and Marty (Lynda) Roark of Glendo, Wyo.; six grandchildren, Kirk, Lindsey, Whitneigh, Shelby, Colton and Jacob. Memorial services for Woody will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010 at St. Peter's Episcopal Church with Fr. Scott Trotter officiating.
