Georgia "Cookie" Cook Barnes

Georgia "Cookie" Cook Barnes, 85, of Perryville passed from this life peacefully Saturday, August 14, 2010. She was born October 17, 1924 in Atwood, Oklahoma to the late Daniel Burt Cook and Rhoda Emmaline Moody Cook. She is preceded in death by her husband Ira "Red" Barnes, her parents, three brothers, two sisters, and a great-grandson, Garrett Clay. She is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Adams and husband Wayne of Petit Jean Mtn., Flora Clay and husband Bobby of Adona; one brother, Leroy Cook of Gerty, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 18, at Perryville First Baptist Church. Interment will be at McGhee Cemetery in Perry by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday at Harris Funeral Home in Morrilton.
