David William Bruce

David William Bruce, 89, of Lonoke died Tuesday, August 17, 2010. He was born October 23, 1920 in Birmingham, Michigan to the late William and Martha Bruce. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Ola Mae Marsh Bruce, as well as his in-laws Louis C. and Molly Marsh. David was a welder with Ethyl Corporation for 30 years. He was an honest and faithful man who always put others before himself, and loved his grandchildren. Mr. Bruce is survived by a daughter, Mary White (Jim) of Lonoke; one grandchild Jimmy White, Jr. (Tonya); three great grandchildren, James, Gage, and Kristen White; and one great-great grandson Aiden White all of Lonoke; two sisters, Florence Isadore and Margaret Beall both of Michigan; two nieces, Linda Galager (Gary) of Hagersville, Ontario, Canada and Jan Mowry (Carl); a great niece Michelle Mowry, both of Jupiter, Florida. The family would like to express a special thank you to the Arkansas Hospice caregivers. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday and funeral services at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 21, 2010 in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Home in Lonoke.
