H.B. "Pudge" Pearle, 89, of Beedeville died Tuesday, August 17, 2010, a victim of a car accident. He was born March 1, 1921 at Old Austin, Arkansas, to Horace Berry and Mary Emma (Holt) Pearle. Survivors include his wife of sixty-five years, Ermyl Elaine McFadden Pearle; one son, Kenneth Pearle; five daughters, Sandy Gaskin (Bart), Lynda Sampson, Vicky Daughety, Jan Reynolds (Steve), and Christine Lynxwiler (Kevin); one brother, Jack Pearle; one sister, Lucille Harris; eight beloved grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Pearle was preceded in death by his parents, H.B. and Mary Emma (Holt) Pearle; four brothers, Raymond, Troy, Fred, and Owen Pearle; two sisters, Lola Pearle and Mae Luker; and one grandson, Michael Sampson. Mr. Pearle was an active member of Beedeville Church of Christ and rarely missed a service. Mr. Pearle lived a full and active life. He was an athlete during his high school career at Cabot, and was known for setting several records. He attended college at Arkansas A&M in Monticello on a football scholarship. Mr. Pearle was also an avid outdoorsman. He passed his love of the outdoors on to his children and grandchildren. One of his greatest honors was being inducted into the Arkansas Coon Hunters Hall of Fame. Mr. Pearle was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His family was his pride and joy. His children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were frequent visitors to his house. He and his wife, Ermyl, were happiest when their home was full of loved ones. Funeral services are 4 p.m., Saturday at Beedeville Church of Christ. Interment: Eightmile Cemetery. Visitation: 5-8p.m., Friday at Jackson's Newport Funeral Home. www.jacksonsfh.com.
