Richard Lee Butler, 72, of Mabelvale, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at Hospice Home Care Center in Little Rock. He was born on October 21, 1937 in Little Rock; he was the son of Hoyt A. Butler & Ruby Turley Butler. Richard was a retired Highway Designer for the Arkansas Highway Department, and member of the Arkansas Air National Guard, the Wilson Tigers of Central High School, and active member of the Mabelvale Church of Christ. He will be remembered by his family and friends as being an avid deer & turkey hunter. He preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife Beth Butler of Mabelvale; a daughter and son–in-law, Stephanie & Tim Percefull of Katy, Texas; grandsons, Matthew & Ben Percefull; a sister Carolyn Meyer of Sherwood; a sister–in-law, Claudia & husband Larry Meeks of Mabelvale; brother–in-law, Ted Brooks & wife Julia of Mabelvale; one niece and two nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., on Friday, August 20, 2010 at Mabelvale Church of Christ, burial will immediately follow the service at Butler Cemetery in Alexander. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at Huson Funeral Home in Little Rock.
