Joseph Walpole, 38, of North Little Rock, found eternal peace after a long and courageous battle with kidney failure, on August 17, 2010 at his home. "Joey" (affectionately nicknamed "Joe Bob.") was born on May 12, 1972 at St. Vincents Hospital in Little Rock, Ark., to Joe and Debbie Walpole He was a graduate of McClellan High School where he earned an athletic, as well as academic scholarship. Joey attended UALR and UCA in Conway. He was preceded in death, by his maternal grandparents; Guy and Gladys Sawyer and paternal grandfather; John Walpole. Joey is survived by his father Joe Walpole and stepmother Doris Walpole, of Vilonia; his mother; Debbie Sawyer of Ohio, his paternal grandmother; Robbie Walpole, also of Vilonia, Ark.; two half-sisters; April Mancell of Kentucky and Cheyenne Walpole of Jacksonville, Ark. as well as a host of cousins and friends. Joey also leaves to cherish his memory, a very special friend Kendall Calhoun. Without complaint, he bravely fought his illness, often saying... "I see people all the time that are sicker than me." Joey never met a stranger, and loved everyone…His kind and courageous spirit will be deeply missed. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the memorial service time at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at Huson Funeral Home Chapel in Sherwood. Interment will be private at a later date.
