Walter Harris Jr.

WALTER HARRIS JR., 76, of Little Rock, Ark., passed away Aug. 18, 2010. He was born Aug. 22, 1933, in Van Buren, Ark., to Walter and Viola Harris. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Viola Harris; one son, Michael Harris; two sisters, Mary Jones and Rosie Brown; one brother, Jerry Harris. He is survived by his wife, Sametta Harris; four sons, Walter Eugene (Clara) Harris, Walter Blackstone (Kim) Harris, Anthony Harris, Dewight Harris Carter; two daughters, Blanche (John) Goosby, Viola Harris; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Collins and Vivireen Carter; a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, 11 a.m. at Greater Second Baptist Church, 5615 Geyer Springs, Little Rock, Ark.
