Bertha Stephens Stocks, 74, of Vilonia went to be with the Lord at her home on Aug. 21, 2010. She was born Sept. 22, 1935 in Searcy, Ark., to the late Fritz and Berta Stephens. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior at an early age and was a member of First Baptist Church of Vilonia since the early 1970's. She was a housewife and homemaker. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Clarence Stocks; two sons, Bill Stocks and wife Tracy, Steve Stocks all of Vilonia. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Cory Stocks and wife Brittney of Conway, Brandi Stocks of Conway and Shea and Bradley Stocks of Vilonia. She also leaves behind an extended family, who loved her like a sister, Tom Stocks of Vilonia, Charlene Sands of Cabot, Linda and Gary Dollar of Damascus. Also mourning are several cousins and many friends. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Cypress Valley Cemetery in Vilonia with her pastor, Brother John Hamby officiating.
