Jean Wiggins Calhoun, 78, of Claremore, Okla., formerly of Monticello, passed away Friday, Aug. 20, 2010 at Brookfield Assisted Living in Claremore. She was born Feb. 16, 1932 in Memphis, Tenn. She was the widow of Jack Calhoun, a retired sales representative for Southwestern Bell for 30 years and a member of First United Methodist Church. She was a member of Drew Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, the Wilma Hankins Circle at First United Methodist, a member of Southside EHC and enjoyed RV and camping. She was the daughter of the late Ben Wiggins and Elsie Wilkerson Wiggins. Survivors include two sons, Rickey Calhoun and wife, Rhonda of Henderson, Texas, and Ron Calhoun and wife, Valeri of St. Louis, Mo.; one daughter, Ann Scogin and husband, Vernon of Claremore, Okla.; four grandchildren, Nicole Scogin of Tulsa, Okla., Andrew Scogin of Claremore, Okla., and Sam and Sarah Calhoun of St. Louis, Mo. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel, with burial in Oakland Cemetery in Warren. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
