Carrie Anna Carter Everett passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2010. Celebration of her life was held Tuesday in Fort Worth at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Carrie was one of nine children born to David and Carrie Carter. She married Gerald Otto Everett on Feb. 2, 1940. Carrie worked as a hair stylist (Ann) in Little Rock, Ark. for many years. She was a lifelong and faithful member of Geyer Springs Church of Christ. Carrie came from a family of gospel singers known as the Chuck Wagon Gang, who pioneered gospel quartet music in the 1940s to present. She was the perfect wife, mother and loving grandmother, and it was a delight to be in her presence. All who met her will never forget her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Everett and her son, Jerry Everett. Survivors: daughter, Cynthia Adkins; daughter-in-law, Lynda Everett; son, Phil Everett and wife, Sarita; grandchildren, Jill, Jay, Jennifer, Jeff, Kim, Rachel, Corey, Jeremy, Chris and Brett; and 21 great-grandchildren.
