Mary F. Knowles

Mary F. Knowles, age 83, of Benton, passed away Monday, August 23, 2010. She was born August 7, 1927 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Mrs. Knowles retired from Montgomery Ward and Wal-Mart. She volunteered at Saline Memorial Hospital, a past PTA President at Robert E. Lee Elementary and a former Girl Scout Leader. Mrs. Knowles was a member of Holland Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reggie and Etta Mary Nalls; husband, Frank Knowles and a sister, Betty Adams. She is survived by her son, Frank Knowles Jr. of Bryant; daughter, Catherine Lee of Benton; brother, Reggie Nalls Jr. of Conway; two grandchildren, Michelle Lee and Andrea Russell; two great-grandchildren, Charles and Matthew Russell and friend and caregiver, Bonnie Davis. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, August 25 at Ashby Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, August 26 at Ashby Funeral Home with burial at Pine Crest Memorial Park.
