Paul Anthony Gunderman

Paul Anthony Gunderman, 72, of Morrilton, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2010 at St. Anthony's Medical Center. Mr. Gunderman was born in Morrilton, Arkansas on January 16, 1938. He was the son of the late Frank Gunderman and Margaret Streit Gunderman. Mr. Gunderman is preceded in death by his brothers Sylvester, Jim, Joe, and Lawrence Gunderman. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Shirley Bennett Gunderman; his three daughters, Angela McCarter and husband Tim of Huntsville, Alabama, Sonya Chadek and husband Jon of Morrilton, and Susan Gunderman of Morrilton; three grandchildren, Michael Colvert and fiancee Kristin White of Huntsville, Alabama, Adam Chadek and Jenna Chadek of Morrilton; three brothers, Andrew Gunderman of Marysville, California, Frank Gunderman of Conway, and Raymond Gunderman of St. Vincent; two sisters, Helen McMillen of Conway and Clara Gangluff of St. Vincent. Mr. Gunderman graduated high school from the Holy Ghost Seminary in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He graduated with a business administration degree from Draughn's School of Business. Mr. Gunderman also served in the U.S. Army National Guard Reserves. Mr. Gunderman was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Church where he served as a member of the Knights of Columbus, as President of the Sacred Heart School Board, and various other school committees. Mr. Gunderman worked for Morrilton Packing Company for over 40 years. Mr. Gunderman has gone to be with the Lord he loved so much and served will all of his heart. He will be profoundly missed by all who loved him. The family requests that any donations in remembrance of Mr. Gunderman be made to the Sacred Heart School Endowment Fund. Funeral Mass for Mr. Gunderman will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, August 26, 2010 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
