Robert B. Alexander

Robert B. Alexander, 95, of Maumelle, Ark. passed away Saturday, August 21, 2010 in Danville, Ark. He was born May 24, 1915 in New Lisbon, Wisconsin to the late Robert R. and Lida M. Barlow Alexander. He received his Bachelors of Education from State Teachers College in 1937 and was a Teacher, Principal and Superintendant of Schools for South Beloit, Il. He then joined the U.S. Air Force where he served in both WWII and the Korean War. He retired from the Air Force in 1966 and moved to Arkansas where he bought a farm and raised cattle. Mr. Alexander is preceded in death by his first wife Mae Rose Alexander, second wife Nina Myers Alexander and a grandson, Robbie Alexander. He is survived by his son Charles William Alexander and wife Peggy of Vacaville, Calif., daughter, Lori Fallen and husband, Tony of Hollis, Ark., grand children; Jennifer Tipton and husband John of Bigelow, Ark., Leslie Fallen of Maumelle, Ark., Hunter Fallen of Perryville, Ark., Cara Alexander of Seattle, Wash. and Jessica Alexander of Vacaville, Calif., great-grandchildren; Hayden Fallen and Alexander Fallen, Brandt Tipton as well as Nina's daughters, Lynn Oparka and husband Larry, Helen Hargreaves and husband Rick, Nina's grandchildren, James Hargraves and wife Kristen, Michael Oparka and Stephanie Oparka. A funeral service will be 10 a.m., Monday, August 30, 2010 at Griffin Leggett Healey Roth Funeral Home 5800 W. 12th St., Little Rock 501-661-9111 with interment to follow in Riverwood Memorial Park, Maumelle.
