John L. Maxwell, age 67 of Bryant, Arkansas died Friday, August 27, 2010 at the Baptist Health Medical Center. He was born on June 11, 1943 in Batesville, Arkansas to his parents Flynn and Lucinda Hicks Maxwell. John was a Veteran of the United States Air Force, a member of the First United Methodist Church of Bryant and was retired from Affiliated Foods Inc.
In addition, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife of seven years, Mabel Maxwell of Bryant; one daughter, Jennifer Tolbert (Charlie) of Longview, Texas; his mother, Lucinda Maxwell of Haskell, Ark.; two brothers, Rubin Maxwell of Whitehouse, Tenn. and Lonnie Maxwell of Tulsa, Okla. and one sister, Linda Owens of Missouri. He is preceded in death by his father and one sister, Mary Crooms.
A graveside service will be 10 a.m. on Monday, August 30, 2010 at the Arkansas State Veteran's Cemetery in North Little Rock.
