James Edwin (Bo) Allen

James Edwin (Bo) Allen, 82 of Vicksburg, Miss., died Friday, Aug. 27, 2010 at Promise Specialty Vicksburg, Miss. Funeral services will be held at: 11 a.m., on Monday, Aug. 30, 2010 at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home in Vicksburg, Miss. Burial will follow in Green Acres Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday at Frank J Fisher Funeral Home. Bo was a native of Camden, Ark. and lived in Vicksburg most of his life. He graduated from Fairview High School in 1947. Bo was a pulp and paper mill operator for International Paper Company for 50 years. He also was a member of the Quarter Century Society at International Paper Co. Bo was a lifetime member of the AFL-CIO (Pulp and Papermakers Union). He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Bo served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War on the U.S.S Rockbridge. He was a member of the American Legion. Bo was an avid fisherman. Bo is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar E and Ruth McGaughy Allen; wife, Willie Lou Allen and two grandchildren, Tina Irene Pittman and Stacey Renee Allen Survivors include sons, Rex (Gena) Allen of Florence, Miss. and Jim (Debbie) Allen of Greenville, Miss.; one daughter, Charlotte (Jim) Bramblett of Lake Village, Ark.; five grandchildren: Shauna Allen, Eljay Allen, Joseph Allen, Wesley Allen and Cody Allen and one great-grandchild, Kingston Hankins. Pallbearers: Eljay Allen, Wesley Allen, Joseph Allen, Mark Roland, Tim Perkins and Perry Naquin In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to: River City Rescue Mission 3705 South Washington Street Vicksburg, Miss. 39180
