Vernia Moss

Vernia Moss, 76, formerly of Stuttgart, Ark., departed this life on Aug. 26, 2010 in Glendale, Ariz., where she has lived for the past nine years. She was born on March 18, 1934 to the late Savannah Hart. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Alton Moss Sr; one sister, Virginia Murray; six brothers, Elijah Russell, R.T. Hart, Amos Taylor, Elmer Hart, Herman Carroll Sr., and Andrew Hart. She is survived by three daughters, Clara McDonald of Indianapolis, Ind., Linda Hart of Glendale, Ariz., and Gloria Moss of Sherwood, Ark.; five sons, Charles Hart of South Bend, Ind., Robert (Lynn) Hart of Phoenix, Ariz., Rickey Hart of Los Angeles, Calif., Willie Hart of Gary, Ind., and Alton Moss Jr. of Culver, Ind. Grandsons, Thomas Davis III and Anthony McDonald along with 15 other grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Six brothers, Curtis (Alma Joyce) Hart of Lonoke, Ark., Otis (Pat) Hart, Eddie (Ella) Hart both of Denver, Colo., John Hart of North Little Rock, Ark., R.B. (Harriet) Ware of Monterey, Ind., R.T. Roberts Sr. of Jeffersonville, Ind.; three sisters, Algerine (Eddie) Norris of Indianapolis, Ind., Pearl Williams of Lonoke, Ark., and Delois (Willie) Hines of North Little Rock, Ark. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. Services will be held Saturday Sept. 4, 2010 11 a.m. at McAlmont Church of Christ 1824 E. 46th St. NLR, Ark.
