Claudine Wisener Stephens

Claudine Wisener Stephens, former resident of De Queen, died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010 in hospice care at Active Senior Living in Greater Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. She was born Dec. 3, 1921 and was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Stephens. While living in De Queen, she was employed by International Paper Co. After moving to Arkadelphia, she worked as secretary for the Dean of Education at Henderson State University. She was a member of First Methodist Church of Arkadelphia and of the BG Chapter of Arkadelphia PEO. Survivors include her daughter, Judith Stephens of Coral Gables, Fla., one son, Chris Stephens of Greater Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; two grandchildren and three great-granddaughters. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 2 at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia with Rev. Carroll Jackson officiating. Interment was in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
