R.L. Hindman, age 88, of Sherwood, Ark., passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2010. He was born on March 14, 1922 in Humphrey, Ark. to John Wesley and Jewell Gibson Hindman. Mr. Hindman was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Melinda Stevens; brother, Gibson Hindman and sister Mattie Bratton. He is survived by his loving wife Lillie O'Neal Hindman; son, Joseph and Bea Hindman; daughters, Karen Malmquist and Glen, Sharon Wheeler and Leon, Bunny Barron and Edwin, Peggy Cotton and Robert, Melodie May and Mike and Mickey Conrad and Stanely; 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and one sister, Levenia Crigger. He was a member of Sylvan Hills Community Church, a Mason, a proud U.S. Army veteran of WWII and worked 60 years in home construction. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Sylvan Hills Community Church, Rev. Stanley Conrad officiating. Interment will follow the service at Gibson Cemetery, Gravel Ridge, Ark. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 JFK Blvd., North Little Rock, Ark.
